Eğriçayır Organic Sandalwood Flower Honey is a 450g jar of pure honey derived from the nectar of sandalwood flowers. This honey is certified organic, ensuring it is free from synthetic additives and pesticides, making it a natural choice for sweetening foods and beverages.

Sandalwood honey is produced in the coastal region of Mersin, where sandalwood trees bloom in February. This honey is typically left in the hive to nourish bee larvae during winter. In April, beekeepers move their colonies from the maquis areas with sandalwood trees to the highlands of the Taurus Mountains. In years when the trees bloom abundantly, honey is harvested for distribution.

Sandalwood honey has a distinct, slightly bitter taste and is less intense than chestnut honey. It is traditionally consumed by the local Yörük community. The honey is produced in organic-certified areas in Mersin, ensuring it is free from pesticide residues.
