Anzer Balı
Anzer Honey is a rare, globally unrivaled floral honey produced in the high-altitude Anzer Plateau of Ballıköy, Rize, Turkey. This region boasts a unique flora with 450-500 flower varieties, including 80-90 endemic species found nowhere else, which give Anzer Honey its distinct composition, pleasant taste, and rich aroma. To ensure authenticity, the village has banned the entry of foreign beehives, guaranteeing the honey is produced only by local Caucasian bees within the defined Anzer borders. Unlike bitter varieties, Anzer Honey is exclusively derived from herbaceous, endemic flowers, as no trees grow on the plateau. Our cooperative holds the sole authorization for the sale of true Anzer Honey. Every jar is guaranteed by the fact that Hacettepe University conducts the pollen analysis and testing only for our S.S. Anzer Ballıköy Cooperative—they do not test for private individuals or other firms. The honey is harvested by cold extraction (below below 40C ), preserving its vital enzymes and pollen. We deliver it tahlilli (analyzed), packaged, and sealed.
