Swarm honey is a type of flower honey produced by young bee colonies that separate from the main hive in spring. The first honey harvested from these new colonies is called “Swarm Honey.”
Eğriçayır Organic Swarm Honey is made from a variety of flowers and is notable for being the first honey produced by a young colony during the hive formation process. This honey is produced in limited quantities and is considered unique due to the young colony’s ability to produce higher enzyme levels.
We offer this honey in a cream form, which helps maintain its natural state for a longer period. Cream honey is simply honey in a creamy texture, similar to how water turns to ice when frozen. When heated below 50 degrees Celsius using a bain-marie method, it returns to a liquid state.
Eğriçayır practices traditional beekeeping in the Eğriçayır Plateau, located at an altitude of 2,500 meters in the Taurus Mountains. The area is rich in wildflowers, contributing to the distinct quality of our honey. Our products are organic certified and have received various awards, including a gold medal at international beekeeping competitions.
