Eğriçayır Organic Karakovan Honey is produced at an altitude of 2,500 meters in Eğriçayır Plateau. The honey is made entirely by bees without the addition of a foundation comb. It received a gold medal at the 2017 Apimondia Beekeeping Awards. The honeycombs in the Karakovan honey are entirely produced by beeswax made by the bees themselves, with no foundation comb used.
